Our consultancy services provide a joined up approach to developing and implementing supply chain strategies.
Our services focus on strategy development and implementation in three areas; Process, Organisation and Technology.
Process management and improvement is the key driver for business improvement. Understanding the dynamic within a business is best illustrated by understanding the relationships between key processes and developing a joined up approach. However, this is only part of the picture as most processes now depend on supplier inputs that span traditional organisational boundaries. How organisations manage these interfaces is now as important as what goes on inside the four walls of a business.
Organisation resources, assets and behaviours need to fully aligned to support key processes. Relationships within and between organisations and different stakeholders must be managed. This will be the defining critical success factor for any supply chain. This needs to reflect a Process orientation and managing and sharing the flow of information and products or services across the supply chain.
Technology is the key enabler in the 21st century supply chain if it is implemented and utilised properly. Failure to recognise key process and organisation can mean on many cases that this investment is sub-optimal. Many organisations are frustrated by poor technology implementation and frequently cite that software or hardware implementations are a failure. Investment and technology must reflect the dynamics within a business and as a minimum provide better information to make more informed decisions.
